Brussels to demand curbs on social media during elections

The EU is to set out measures to curb the spread of disinformation online ahead of next year's elections. Sir Julian King, the European commissioner for security, has demanded a “clear game plan” to govern how social media companies are allowed to operate during election campaign periods.
