Fire and police depts to opt out of social media policy

EAST GREENWICH–After members of the East Greenwich fire and police departments expressed concerns over the town's new social media policy, the town council voted last Monday to allow the departments to opt out of the townwide policy and simply refer to their own standard operating guidelines.
